Answer a stop: delivered or brought back
Record what happened at each door, and post the cash the driver collected against the invoice.

Before you start
Every stop on a round ends one of two ways: the goods were delivered, or they came back on the van. There is no third answer and no "partly" — if half a load came back, that is a delivery for what stayed and a return for what did not.
Answer the stops as the van reports in, or all at once when it returns. What matters is that no stop is left unanswered, because a round cannot be closed until every one of them has been.
Find the stop
Open Distribution. Each round on the road lists its stops, with the customer, the delivery note, and the invoice it belongs to. A stop nobody has answered yet says so plainly.
Say what happened at the door
What to look at:
Delivered — the customer took the goods.
Brought back — they did not. Nobody in, refused, wrong address, closed for the afternoon. The delivery note stays valid and the goods are back with you.
Cash taken — what the driver collected at the door, if anything. Leave it empty when nothing changed hands. Into is the cash account it lands in, and Note is where the reason for a return belongs.
Confirm records the answer.
Cash taken at the door is posted as an ordinary payment against that customer's invoice. It is not a special kind of money: it reaches the cashbook, the customer's balance, and your accounts exactly as a payment taken at the counter would.
Work through the rest
Repeat for every stop. The round's summary counts down as you go, and the tile at the top of the page — stops unanswered — is the one to watch at the end of a day.
A stop that has been answered cannot be answered again. If the answer was wrong, correct it the way every other mistake is corrected here: the payment is reversed, with a reason, and the original stays visible.
When the last stop has an answer, the round is ready to close and the bag can be counted.
